James Watson, who, we know, co-discovered DNA structure has facing the music of denounce as he feel “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa, because all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours – whereas all the testing says that it is not really so”. In his opinion although people treat everyone as equal but the people who have to deal with black employees find this not true.
Like others I can’t blame him for being racial. He is an old man and he again failed to use proper word. Today through out world it is hot topic to find out the biological basis of intelligence and there are so many evidence (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) have been published in reputed journal and few genes have been isolated which may/are responsible for our IQ. Scientist have already claimed to make a genetically engineered ’smart mouse’. So what’s wrong with Dr.Watson’a statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probable he confused at the point that these gene are inherited from parents. Means an intelligent parents’ child may be an intelligent one. But this has nothing to do with “black” or “white”. Less intelligent people are omnipresent. So he should claim Africa for being paradise of less intelligent people.
