The messiahs of free speech, free thought have been hit by Islamic tsunami and all secular personalities and organizations are running for cover who at the smallest provocation takes out protest rallies? The Indian government has bowed down to the extremists. And the leading extremist is a member of the leading secular (as they called themselves!!!) party…. what a satanic alliance! She has been writing about barbarities and atrocities of our societies and dead religions (it includes all religion not a particular one). But our so called SECULAR media, intellectuals and off course our secular political parties are not saying even a single word for this injustice. It’s a shame! In India we are losing the right of expression; we will slowly lose one by one of our freedom to fanatics.
Is this the first time the Government bowed down to these fundamentalist forces? If anyone who read history will never be entertained of government action, the way these people behaved. Ask yourself, why Pakistan is formed? Can you remember when Rajiv government bowed to the pressure and amended the constitution rather than standing up to the fundamentalists in Shah Bano case? By doing that they caused immense damage to the society and rule of law. These pseudo secular politicians always bow to the pressure of fundamentalists and call themselves secularists.3 Countries were born after partition. 2 were proud of their religion and made religion above their country. The third tried to be Secular. The result is for everybody to see......but now fanatics are quietly forcing the third one to have religion above its country. The result would be the same like the other 2....I am sure that our India can’t be “Saare jahaan se achcha”as long as our politicians behave in this alien way!
