No doubt that Mr. M.F.Husaaain is “India’s Picasso” and it’s also a indisputable matter that those persons who are attacking the Hussain’s painting should be criticized but I want to discuss a single events about Mr. Hussain then it will be decided that whether he is a flag bearer of Indian heritage or not!
Few years ago, he produced a very beautiful movie, minakshi-the tale of three cities”. In the first week of release, few Muslim institutions started to protest against this movie because there was a very “sacred” word in a song of movie. Day after it, Mr. Hussain decided to withdraw his movie from talkies! I want to ask everyone whether he is kind enough to set fire his paintings which are against the Hindu’s emotion? No, he will never do it.
If it’s a disgrace to allow most irresistible element of our society to derail the life and work of such a great “Muslim”( I dare to use this word because like I cannot accept him as a India’s representative) artist then such kind of ridiculous behavior of a great artist should not be appreciated.
