Money Vs Morality ???

Although it’s the ideal time for young lovers as biggest fool moon is illuminating our skies after the 1987 but unfortunately it was not true for at lest two different high profile case: Priyanka Todi in Kolkata and Srija in Hyderabad.
What were the common and striking things in these two tragedies????? Each and every event was like a super hit bollywood melodrama which focused on the rich-poor axis. The classic tale continues to retain the threat posed by arrogant, self-important and influential father (you may read it like family member also) of the bride to the young lovers. But important question is that whether anything really changed in love stories of 21st century! Yes there is a remarkable turn and twist in new stories. It includes corrupt policemen, omnipresent cell phones and their surveillance, mohalla/parha conspiracy, e-mails and of course our “second god “media.
Honor killings are reported from Indian villages where ill-conceived and illiterate elders have been ordering to kill couples who dare to defy an antiquated code laid down centuries ago. But what is the difference between those illiterate elders and these well educated, well mannered (as they called themselves) parents who are behaving worse than any feudal lords??They are behaving if their off springs are their property.

Would Mr. Todi really mind if his daughter’s choice,Rizwanur Rehman, had been from an affluent, well connected and moneyed family? Would superstar Chiranjeevi really radically reacted if his daughter dated with a billionaire not with Shirish Bharadwaj ??? Of course the answer is no. Then what’s it mean!!! It means the issue is money not the morality as they usually claim.
May god give all strength of the world to the “poor” lovers of India!
